Check whether my device supports eSIM

The most reliable check is whether your device shows an eSIM identifier called an EID, rather than relying on the model name alone.

iPhone guidance

As a guide, iPhone XS/XR and later and iPhone SE (2nd/3rd generation) support eSIM, but specifications vary by country or region. In Settings > General > About, confirm that EID is shown and Carrier Lock says No SIM restrictions.

Android guidance

Support can vary by model number, sales region, and carrier even within the same series. Check Settings for Add eSIM or Download SIM, or dial *#06# and confirm that an EID is shown.
